Hi, I’m Dr. wenger
I am glad you are here! My name is Dr. Alisha Wenger and I believe every person is both unique and also part of a larger system. I take a collaborative approach to therapy, and feel honored to walk alongside clients on their journey in life. I strive to provide a safe and open space to feel heard as well as engage in growth. I have worked in various settings including university and high school counseling, primary care, community mental health, a Native corporation, hospital emergency departments, and a bariatric surgery setting. I enjoy working with a broad range of presenting issues including ADHD, learning disorders, anxiety, phobias, women's issues, eating and exercise concerns, body image, self-esteem, depression, faith-based issues and grief. I also enjoy comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of ADHD, and learning disorders, as well as possible other diagnoses leading to supportive treatment. I graduated with my bachelors from Western Oregon University and went on to receive my master’s and doctorate from George Fox University. I completed my internship at the Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association in Anchorage, Alaska, working with Native communities throughout rural Alaska. I completed my postdoctoral training at Northwest ADHD in Tigard, Oregon. As a longtime Salem resident myself, I am excited to support and serve the community.
